A New Band 8/16/08

I am in a new live band called Mojosonic. we have recently found a lead singer. The band is comprised of Steve (bass, lead vocals), T.T. (drums), Trish (lead vocals, Rhythm guitar, keys) and myself.  We've had some great fun just jamming, and have begun forming a list of covers ranging from The Beatles, Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd to Pearl Jam, Alice in Chains, and the Foo Fighters. This band will be a mostly covers band live, although everyone has the ability and talent to write originals, too. I just know this about the band, right now:  it's great to be in a band with musicians with a common goal and love for music. It's great to be in a band with people I can trust. 

Left of Heaven News 2/19/08

Okay... I'm back from the land of Pink Fraud, and while it was a nice place to visit, I wouldn't wanna live there. It's been a while now since I've worked on originals and covers of the non Floyd ilk, so I'm back at it. Left of Heaven will be a studio only project, with the possibility of a stray gig every now and then if the pieces come together again somewhere down the line. There are dozens of songs still unrecorded (outside of some practice takes) from just the last incarnation of the band. Some of them will see the light of day "as is" and some others will probably see a transformation or two before they get put down on tape if at all.

The live gigs in 2006 were a great time. I look back on those gigs with a big smile. Maybe one day Left of Heaven will perform live again. In the meantime, I wish Brian the best in both his musical and non musical endeavors- don't lose my number, man!. Hopefully the time will present itself so that we may jam again. Ben's probably off writing some great tunes and I wish him the best just of luck in whatever area he chooses.
